PENGARCA LUAR NEGARA DAN DALAM NEGARA





Pengarca terkenal dalam penghasilan arca stabail ialah Jean Tinguely. Dilahirkan di Switzerland pada tahun 1925. Beliau meminati bidang seni semasa belajar di Bale antara tahun 1941-1945. Tinguely mula membuat eksperimen berkaitan penerokaan ruang melalui penghasilan arca menggunakan motor elektrik. Pembabitan serius beliau dalam bidang ini bermula apabila berhijrah ke Perancis dan bercampur dengan beberapa tokoh seni di sana. Salah satu arca stabail yang dihasilkan bertajuk ‘Homeage New York: A self Construction and self Detroying Work of Art’.

Arca ini paling sukar untuk dihasilkan. Bahan-bahan yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan arca ini terdiri daripada pelbagai bahan terbuang. Tinguely berjaya mengolah bahan-bahan berkenaan menggunakan alat kimpalan. Beliau menggunakan teknik olah, uun, cantum dan lekat dalam menghasilkan arca ini. persembahan karya arca ini memerlukan penerangan yang teliti oleh pengarca dan pemerhatian yang teliti oleh penonton untuk memahami maksud tersirat pada arca ini.

was a Swiss sculptorpainter,draughtsman and printmaker. He was born in the canton Graubünden's southerly alpine valley Val Bregaglia, as the eldest of four children to Giovanni Giacometti, a well-known post-Impressionist painter. Coming from an artistic background, he was interested in art from an early age.

Alberto Giacometti's remarkable career traces the shifting enthusiasms of European art before and after the Second World War. As a Surrealist in the 1930s, he devised innovative sculptural forms, sometimes reminiscent of toys and games. And as anExistentialist after the war, he led the way in creating a style that summed up the philosophy's interests in perception, alienation and anxiety. Although his output extends into painting and drawing, the Swiss-born and Paris-based artist is most famous for his sculpture. And he is perhaps best remembered for his figurative work, which helped make the motif of the suffering human figure a popular symbol of post-war trauma.



Mad Annuar Ismail, was born in 1952. Studied at school of Art & Design, University Technology MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam in 1977.

Mad Annuar Ismail has been a full-time sculptor since graduating from Art College. He has worked in metal and wood but wood is his favourite medium. He seems to have a natural way with the material. He comes from a tropical Malay culture where the wood carving tradition was once deeply entrenched. He was trained at the ITM School of Art and Design during the Seventies and was, like so many other Malay artists, at that time, affected by the Malay-Islamic revivalist movement. He was inspired to re-discover his Malay “roots” and the result has been a body of impressive abstract sculptures. The sculptor belongs to the modernist “truth to material” tradition of Brancusi and Henry Moore, with its emphasis on the respect for the innate characteristics already existing in sculptural mediums. This large sculpture entitled Rebab Player was inspired by the traditional Malay musicians who still play the rebab instrument at special official court functions.


Bayu Utomo was born in 20 March 1969 in Tawau, Sabah. He graduated with B.A (Hons) in Fine Art from the Faculty of Art & Design at University Technology Mara. Bayu founded Matahati, a community for painters and artists inspired by art-critic -Wong Hoy Cheong. As a sculptor and painter, Bayu’s work rebels against the mainstream perceptions of figure and form. He is both expressive and provocative in his art, often creating work that evoke emotions that are shocking, fierce or vibrant.
